2018-08-23T07:25:52-06:00 May 2nd, 2018|

After a long wait we have finally released version 1.0.4 of thirty bees. This latest version of thirty bees includes many new features and speed improvements to make our software more modern and feature packed. It also includes a ton of bug fixes as well. Statistics New in the 1.0.4 release is our core Stats module. This module replaces 23 modules that were installed in the earlier versions. No statistics features have been lost with the new stats core. This is our first effort in cleaning up the modules page in your shop. Having 23 less modules in the list means [...]

Elasticsearch: another (quick) beta

2018-08-23T07:42:05-06:00 November 20th, 2017|

Here's a quick third beta of the module. Due to the high complexity of this search module we have decided to release betas more often and allow you to test more. Since beta 2 a lot of progress has been made when it comes to theme support. Currently these themes are supported: Community default theme Transformer theme Panda theme Warehouse theme (partially - lacking the list option) The non-default themes come with a lot of configuration options, which is great, because that allows you to personalize these themes as much as you like. This comes at the cost of performance, [...]

thirty bees 1.0.3 has been released!

2018-08-23T07:53:16-06:00 August 17th, 2017|

In an attempt to release faster we are currently trying smaller but more frequent updates. It turned out to be very hard to switch to this new schedule. As you can see on GitHub we are actually 25 days late, but as always we have decided to postpone the release to lower the chances of releasing something unstable. The major reason for this delay is that wanted to merge as many of your contributions as possible. Therefore we have allowed more issues and pull requests into 1.0.3 than originally planned, but most of all we have completely rewritten the integration with [...]

Community theme update

2017-06-30T05:38:42-06:00 June 30th, 2017|

Do you like SEO? We sure do, so we have updated the community theme. We have focused on making it more html 5 compliant and used more html5 and semantic data best practices with it. The standard version of the theme was not bad, but it was dated. So we went through and updated the theme and modernized it. Gulp If you are a developer and you have tried to use the theme in a development environment, you might have noticed that the gulpfile failed. We have fixed this issue and compensated for it. It centered around a bug in jscsrc [...]

thirty bees 1.0.2-beta.1

2018-08-23T08:00:45-06:00 June 28th, 2017|

This week we originally wanted to release 1.0.2 without a beta, but after we looked back at what has changed, we have decided to first release a beta version. On GitHub you can see that there are hardly any files that have been left untouched: https://github.com/thirtybees/thirtybees/compare/1.0.1...1.0.x Why are there so many changes, you might ask? The first and foremost reason to fork the other software was to fix bugs. Not only were there a lot of bugs, there was a lot of so-called technical debt as well. This means that we have not only worked on adding new features and improving the [...]

thirty bees 1.0.1 beta

2018-08-23T08:06:14-06:00 April 12th, 2017|

Yes, you read that right! Another version of thirty bees coming up. It has been weeks of hard work, scanning through old pieces of spaghetti code and refactoring large pieces of the software (don't be afraid to change the code once in a while to make it better!). The goal of these changes is to make the core more stable and/or make it easier in the future to remove bugs and to test it. This also explains why it took a while to reach the beta stage of the next version as we had to fix lots and lots of errors we saw [...]

thirty bees 1.0.0 released

2018-08-23T08:07:30-06:00 February 16th, 2017|

After months of work the day is finally here. thirty bees is now stable enough for release. We would like to thank all of the community members that made this release possible. And give a big thanks to Michael Dekker who has handled most of the code and is laying out the development path we are taking. If you cannot wait to test thirty bees version 1.0.0 out you can download it here. What have we done? We forked the PrestaShop 1.6 codebase, then upgraded most of the code (scanning for bugs) and removed about 2000 bugs in the process. Then started [...]
