It would be very beneficial to add oEmbed service to the core. Two reasons:
1. Inventory – Check stock level from warehouse / supplier before final checkout and backorder if necessary.
2. Blogging made easier. Insert parameter into an oEmbed url with affiliate ID and create an iframe similar to how products are listed in a category view into a blog article.
