Short description for product variants

It would be nice to have different short descriptions for every product variant – e.g. in back office every product combination will have a text field like the standard short description. On front office the short description will change with every attribute selection. Can be handy when selling technically more complicated products.

Shipping flexibility – assign one Country into several Zones

It would be nice to assign one country into several zones. This could save a lot of energy when dealing with more shipping companies with different zoning. For example shipping company A uses 7 zones for the whole world and shipping company B uses 11 zones for the whole world. Of course you will have a lot of countries in different zones and for completely different prices (difference sometime more than 100%).
My idea was to create zones for every shipping company (like FedEx A, FedEx B, FedEx C,… DHL A, DHL B, DHL C,…) and set the countries for the respective shipping company zone. This means that for example France can be in FedEx C and also in DHL A.
Now to achieve this in Prestashop you should have so many Zones as Countries and that is not very handy. Especially when you need to do shipping price changes.

Inventory management and price calculations

It would be nice to have a complete inventory management solution where we could add stock and calculate the actual buying price from supplier invoices.

We developed for ourselves a google sheet where we add all the products from the supplier invoice, all the purchased quantities, shipping costs, exchange rate conversion (with manual or automatic exchange rate), customs duties, additional fees. The script takes all the costs (except the products purchase price) and recalculates these costs into the unit price to have the final buying price including all costs.

The above price calculation could be done when adding inventory or when doing a supplier order. This clean purchase price could be save for particular batch/order of products. Later, when adding another inventory, system could show the last clean purchase price.

This is a bit complex feature like in accounting software or ERP solutions but I think a lot of customers could find this handy (integrated, all products on one place; no need to sync). Especially in Europe where you have a lot of different currencies, different accounting/inventory softwares; custom duties (most of the countries import goods) and other costs.
