Git Updater module preview

2019-02-01T00:52:41-06:00February 1st, 2019|

Its been a while since the crowd funding of the Git Updater module finished. Don't worry, we did not forget about the module, we have actually made some great progress with the module and are ready to start sharing the beta version of the module. The Git Updater module will usher in a new era of thirty bees. Since many people are not familiar with how the update process works, let me explain it a bit. In the current update process to update thirty bees, we need to create what are called file actions. We have a huge list of file [...]

Cookiebot Module

2018-11-30T09:36:52-06:00June 14th, 2018|

As we are finishing up our GDPR module, I would like to point out that we do have a solution already that will make most sites GDPR compliant.   Setting Cookiebot up Once you install the module, you will need to go to the Cookiebot site and register. Once you sign up for an account, you should see a screen like the one below. Cookiebot will send you a registration key by email, you will need to enter that key here. Then you can start setting Cookiebot up. The module will ask you for your Domain Group ID. This is somewhat [...]

Elasticsearch has now become a reality!

2018-08-23T07:35:46-06:00January 9th, 2018|

Today is the day we are releasing one of the biggest modules in thirty bees history. A module that is full of new technology, technology we'd love to see more in the future. Elasticsearch is one of them. For those of you not familiar with Elasticsearch, it is a search engine that can rapidly search through your collection and provide results in milliseconds. Add to this the extremely fast frontend search we have built for the module and you have millisecond search in your store! This module is the first crowdfunded module for thirty bees. The campaign ended in August and [...]

Statistics Modules

2018-08-23T07:41:51-06:00November 26th, 2017|

If you have spent any time in our Slack or Gitter then you know there is one thing that drives me crazy, the number of modules it takes to run a thirty bees shop. There are so many modules that are not needed as separate modules. This clutters the page in my opinion and helps to scare off new users. At the same time it makes things harder to find. Do you edit this address in the Block Contact module? The Block Contact Infos? Or is it on the Preferences Store Contacts page? To me, this is just insane. This crowds [...]

Elasticsearch: the beta continues

2018-08-23T07:42:57-06:00November 15th, 2017|

The second beta of the Elasticsearch module is now available! We noticed that the first beta was too hard to configure to make it run on most systems so we have worked very hard to support a multitude of systems via the ajax proxy option. This makes the module work out-of-the-box on Cloudways (thirty bees cloud) for example. Together with support for more systems we have added tons of features, finally making the module feature-complete with the second beta. Let's not keep you waiting, here is a short video of what a fully configured search page of the module looks [...]

New module Piwik Analytics

2018-08-23T07:43:22-06:00October 24th, 2017|

We are happy to announce we have released a native integration with Piwik open analytics platform.  This module will allow our users to interface their thirty bees sites with Piwik to provide quick and accurate analytics, while at the same time owning all the analytics data. Some of our users have expressed that they do not trust Google with all of their data. Whether this believe is founded or not, we have decided that we need another analytics integration with thirty bees. Now our users have a choice on which analytics platform they want to use with their thirty bees site. [...]

Elasticsearch module beta

2018-08-23T07:43:33-06:00October 18th, 2017|

We are proud to announce that our Indiegogo funded Elasticsearch module is now stable enough to be beta tested by our community. If you have a development version of your site and would like to provide feedback on the module, we need you. I would like to say again, this module is a beta version, it is not stable enough for and does not have the all the features you will need in production. That being said, lets get to testing. What is Elasticsearch? In case you haven't been following the search topics on the forum and our Indiegogo project, Elasticsearch is [...]

Three new cache modules just released

2018-08-23T07:43:53-06:00October 12th, 2017|

We have been some busy bees here lately at thirty bees. Today we are adding three new modules to our growing list of core modules. By now most users know that we focus a great deal on performance at thirty bees. The new modules are no exception to that. They are managers for the most popular server side caching systems that thirty bees users use. The three modules are Memcache Manager, Opcache Manager, and APCu Cache Manager. The new modules are not for increasing performance in your shop per se, they are to help you manage the caching system that you [...]

New module JSON+LD

2018-08-23T07:48:03-06:00October 9th, 2017|

We are happy to announce we have released a new JSON+LD module this morning. This module has been tested very thoroughly, but is still being released as a beta and it is not in your module feed. There is a download link at the end of this blog post if you want to download and test the module out. So what is JSON+LD? JSON+LD stands for JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data. That doesn't explain much does it? I am sure you are familiar with rich snippets though aren't you? JSON+LD is the new format for replacing microdata rich snippets. Most [...]

ElasticSearch crowdfunding

2018-08-23T07:56:57-06:00July 13th, 2017|

You might remember a few weeks ago we did a poll on which module we should crowdfund. The answer was overwhelmingly the Elasticsearch module. We started the campaign today and we are really excited to see how it goes. Check it out and if having an awesome free search in your shop is something you are interested in, please donate to our campaign. Donate to the ElasticSearch Module Campaign   The plans If we exceed our goal by $1000 we are going to also expand the blog module as discussed in our post here.  If we exceed the goal [...]
